You count what is still free in a spreadsheet. One typo and you promise 40 headphones that aren't there, or that are still on the charger.

For each of those three moments there is a feature in Be-Bookable. This is what it looks like for your customer.
Friday, 21:40
Your webshop answers "do you still have headphones then?" by itself. Your customer picks a date and the number of headphones, sees the total price straight away and pays online. Set a minimum, such as 10, and an order for three headphones never comes in.
This is what your customer sees: Saturday 17 October, 60 headphones, €190 in total.

A Saturday in June
You set how many headphones and transmitters you have. Every booking takes them out of stock for that day, whether it comes in through the webshop or you enter it yourself. A day to charge and clean, or a few days for shipping, goes before or after every rental. That time counts too.
This is what your customer sees: 10 and 17 October are full, so they pick 24 October.

Saturday evening, 20:00
For each accessory you choose whether it is optional or required. Make the transmitter for the first channel required, and it goes into every booking and counts in your stock. A second or third channel, a disco ball or a laser can be ticked by the customer.
This is what your customer sees: channel 1 is already ticked, channel 2 is added for a second DJ.

In practice
This is how Goede Buur does it, and how you can set it up too.
| What you rent out | Rental prices | Useful to set up |
|---|---|---|
| Headphones | Per piece, per day | At least 10 per order, and a day after every rental to charge |
| Headphones, self-charge | Per piece, lower price | A separate product with its own stock |
| Transmitters per channel | Per day, as an accessory | Channel 1 required, channels 2 and 3 optional |
| Disco ball, laser and blacklight | Per day, as an accessory | Optional with the headphones |
| Complete sets | A bundle, own price | Stock follows the part you have least of |
| Sets by post | As a shipping method | A few days before and after every rental, shipping and return label via Sendcloud |

To be fair
No idea is too crazy: what rental businesses ask for often moves up our roadmap.
About Be-Bookable
Be-Bookable grew out of Goede Buur Silent Disco, the rental business of one of our founders. Its headphones and transmitters have been rented out with it from day one: customers book and pay by themselves, and the stock is always right. Today other rental businesses run on it too.
Yes. For each product you set a minimum and a maximum quantity per booking. With a minimum of 10 the order also starts at 10 headphones.
Make the transmitter a required accessory of the headphones. It is then already ticked, always goes into the booking and counts in your stock. Extra channels are added as optional accessories.
Yes. In the checkout you offer shipping methods with their own price, such as pickup or delivery. With the Sendcloud integration you create a shipping label and a return label for an order in one click. Your shop can be in Dutch, German and English, and you choose the areas you ship to.
Yes. Switch on delivery costs per zone or distance under Integrations. You then charge per zone of postcodes, or per kilometre from your shop postcode, with a free distance and a maximum if you like. The customer sees the delivery price as soon as they enter their postcode.
Yes. The customer picks a start and end day in the calendar and pays per day. Want a fixed price for a weekend? Then also give the product a rental price for a weekend.
Getting started is free and your first 100 orders cost nothing. After that you pay €19.99 per month, excluding VAT. Be-Bookable charges no commission on your rentals. There is no contract and you can stop every month.
Online through Mollie, with the payment methods you switch on in your own Mollie account, such as iDEAL, credit card or PayPal. You can also offer a payment option of your own, such as paying at pickup.
