For many rental and booking businesses, having rigid delivery and pickup options can complicate the checkout process. Whether you offer free local pickup or charge a fixed fee for nation-wide delivery, your booking system needs to be as flexible as your business model.
We heard your feedback. That’s why we are excited to launch Custom Shipping Options, giving you full control over how your products get to your customers.
Full Control Over Deliveries and Pickups
This new feature allows partners to define and manage all available shipping and pickup methods directly within the Be-Bookable system. Simply set your options once, and they will be automatically available for customers to select during checkout.
Key Features for Partners
- Define Unlimited Options: Create custom options like “Self-Pickup in [City]” or “Delivery Nationwide,” tailored to your geographical requirements.
- Custom Pricing: Assign fixed prices (including free options, like €0.00 for pickup) to each method. This ensures accurate billing right from the start.
- Instant Integration: All options are immediately integrated into your Be-Bookable webshop checkout, updating the order summary in real-time based on the customer’s choice.
Better Experience, Higher Conversions
By offering clear and specific choices, you eliminate friction and potential confusion during the final step of the booking process.
- Increased transparency: Customers clearly see all available methods and costs upfront, building trust.
- Reduced admin time: No more manual calculations or follow-up calls to arrange delivery terms post-booking.
- Boosted conversions: A smoother, faster, and clearer checkout process minimizes abandoned carts.

Frequently Asked Questions
What are Custom Shipping Options?
This is a new feature allowing you to define and manage your own self-pickup and/or delivery options and their associated costs. Customers can then select their preferred method during checkout on your webshop.
Where can I set up these options?
You set up the options via your Partner Dashboard. Navigate to ‘Shop Settings’ to create, edit, or delete your pickup and delivery methods.
Are the options immediately visible to customers?
Yes, once you have created an option and set its status to ‘Active’, it will be immediately displayed in the ‘Shipping method’ section during checkout on your webshop.
Can I offer a pickup option at no charge?
Yes, you can set the price for any pickup or delivery option to €0.00 (or your local currency). This is ideal for free on-location pickup.
Can I set different delivery costs for different regions?
With this initial update, you can set fixed prices per named method (e.g., “Delivery Amsterdam: €15”). The functionality does not yet support automatic calculation based on zip code. You must manually create and specify the desired delivery options.
What happens if I don't create any shipping options?
If you do not create any options in your ‘Shop Settings’, the ‘Shipping method’ section will not be shown during checkout. The checkout process will then proceed without the choice for delivery or pickup.
Can I temporarily deactivate an option?
Yes, in the ‘Shop Settings’, you can easily change the status of an option from ‘Active’ to ‘Inactive’. An inactive option will not be visible to the customer on the webshop.
Where do I see which shipping option the customer chose?
The chosen ‘Shipping method’ and its associated cost are clearly stated on the order confirmation, both for the customer and in the booking overview within your Partner Dashboard.
Can I change a chosen option after the booking?
The selected method is part of the confirmed booking and cannot be changed by the customer. You can make manual administrative adjustments, but for invoicing and cancellation purposes, you should use the original booking as a guideline.
